GATE hospitality vocational program was established in the year 2009 and since its inception, it has been running vocational hospitality program related in the fields of cookery, bartending, barista, front office clerk and many more. In the growing need of today’s hospitality work force, GATE s been providing in and off the job training facilitated in order to make students familiar with job related issues and enabling them to tackle problems similar to modern day hospitalities issues.

CTEVT, the governing body of technical fields together with GATE vocational program, has been developing hospitality programs and initiating it from entry level introduction to higher level and diplomas. CTEVT and GATE has been continually and successfully running these programs for almost half a decade and the demand of it seems to be much greater than expected. With the advent of specialization in every sector, competency target programs have been developed to cater the special needs of different hospitality industries. Moreover, GATE has successfully transferred many of the trainees to Malaysia, Gulf countries and Middle East countries, so that they are able to gain internationally recognized certificates and gain more further experience.

Helvetas, one of the Swiss foundations, established to help the developing countries in technical fields, has worked jointly with GATE vocational school in teaching and assisting students to acquire specific job skills related to cookery. More related programs that are currently devised are in planning stage and yet to be finalized before delivering it in real time.
