HOD (Head of Department),
Information Technology

I completed my Masters’ Degree in Computer Application from Kantipur City College. After which I had a short spell in EBPEARLS, a prominent software development firm, here in Kathmandu.

At Synergy I peruse IT credentials of applicants for Job descriptions so provided. Suggestion of upgrades, short OJT (on the job training) provisions, professional help are my daily chores. We are also developing partnerships on Training with prominent providers. For our “Skills for business” format we feel that conventional courses could do without much of the academic norms.

We are also researching BPO (business process outsourcing) prospects from Nepal. IT skills are today considered a necessity among students and are being taught and studied in numbers. English proficiency matches those of India.I feel Nepalese students could have a good future with the IT sector booming everywhere in the world.

Mr. Bindu Koirala
HOD (Head of Department), Engineering

I graduated from Pulchowk Engineering College with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering in 2002. I eagerly ventured into teaching right away, joining KEC (Kathmandu Engineering College) as a faculty member. Today I am proud to be a member of the Synergy Nepal team.

“Skills for Employment” especially in the Construction sector is a program I deemed urgently necessary in Nepal. With the resources that we have we could genuinely make a difference. Our training facilities are unmatched in Nepal. The trainings are entirely vocational but yet with a wonderful academic dimension. It is definitely very self fulfilling to be able to train people to have jobs immediately.

Our work and dedication has been well received among the Development agencies in Nepal. We are thrilled to be working for the biggest names in Nepal currently. I am sure there is much more to look forward to.

Mr. Suresh Puri
HOD (Head of Department), Hospitality

With hotels, spas, resorts, cruise ships the hospitality service sector is not only growing- it is booming. Well-qualified hospitality professionals are in increasing demand across the globe. The scope and opportunity available in this career has enormous potential.

I graduated from GIHE (Glion Institute of Higher Education) from Glion, Switzerland with a Hospitality degree. I have worked both abroad and in Nepal in various Hospitality businesses. The Academic side of business has always been of interest to me.

Our school managed in Partnership with GATE (Global Academy Tourism and Hospitality Education) is a world-class establishment affiliated with the Swiss School of Tourism. Our trainings have to be in par with the Swiss standards. Being a prominent education provider, our industry links within Nepal provide us unsurpassed recruitment wherewithal. We have already worked for most major Hotel Chains in Asia.

Ms. Deborah Kohler
Department for Personality Development

GATE and Synergy in partnership are leading the way to provide practical training for working in the Hospitality Industry. Not just in the skills but in attitudes and managerial abilities so that when candidates take jobs overseas - they can contribute on day one - and are seen as valuable additions to the international staff at their place of employment.

I oversee the Department for Personality Department. We have wonderful tailor made courses like English for Hospitality and Etiquette development. These help students develop the personality and attitudes that will help them in their professional lives.

I also help guide the overall management at GATE and Synergy
so that they achieve their objectives. My role is to ask questions and challenge conventional wisdom so that an environment of energy, possibility and encouragement is created. I am hopeful that my efforts will be helpful to both the firms in achieving their goals.
